'Tephrosia argentea Wight ex Wall.' is now marked as an erroneous record in IPNI (ID 520395-1) as Wallich used Tephrosia argentea (Lam.) Pers. and merely referenced Wight's Herbarium. However, Persoon included the earlier name Galega barba-jovis Burm.f. (1768) as well as the superfluous illegitimate name Galega argentea Lam., (1788) when describing this species as Tephrosia argentea, so this name is illegitimate as superfluous when published, and Tephrosia barba-jovis (Burm.f.) Cufod. (IPNI ID 520411-1) is the correct name.
