Countess Sarah Amherst (1762-1838) Collected in Simla, 1827. Also referred to as 'Domina S. Amherst', 'Domina nobilissima Amherst' and 'Nobilis domina Sarah Amherst'. Born as Hon. Sarah Archer.  Her daughter was Lady Sarah Elizabeth Pitt Amherst (1801-1876), because they share the same name it is unclear if it is the mother or the daughter who is the collector. However, the mother is mentioned as an amateur botanist and plant collector in the CRC World Dictionary of Plant Names.)
