Collector/Herbarium: Herb. Hamilton. This locality is as yet unresolved and hypothetically placed in Bangladesh. The collection date mentioned on specimen E00413549 is 20 April 1808, with Hamilton collection number 581 no 2. Hamilton would either have been in Gualpara at that time, or possibly just started his tour of Rangpur. Hamilton's Bengal Catalogue ms nr 581 is Ardisia icara, which mentions for the habitat under  "in aquosis Camrupae borealis", this is Wall Cat 2264.[A].
